D-Day Delayed
Last night ended with Amy having regular contractions, thinking that we were going to go to the hospital, and then having the contractions subside. Today made for a long day as Amy had some contractions and lost her plug (if you don’t know what that means, don’t ask), but we still don’t have anything too exciting to report.
When is D-Day actually going to get here!? Amy has random contractions, but I’m told that those are just preparation for labor. Really!? Hasn’t her uterus had nine months to prepare!? Sounds like procrastination to me. I gave Adalee a stern “talking to” tonight letting her know that she is being evicted. I hate to use tough love on her before she is born, but I’m not about to get her life started off on the wrong foot by letting her get away with pure stubbornness.
On the bright side, I’ve really gotten some good use out of the stopwatch feature on my iPhone as I clock all of these contractions. This is just one more feature that I get with my iPhone that reminds me that I will never be able to live without one again.
Oh, and to pass the time we saw “The Dilemma” tonight. It’s a hilarious movie that I would highly recommend and good for burning time if you’re waiting for your wife to go into labor. I’m keeping it short tonight, because let’s face it, waiting is boring.
